Meet Gheisha-Ly Rosario Díaz, Esq.
Hi, I’m Gheisha-Ly Rosario Díaz (ella/she), a licensed attorney in North Carolina and Washington, D.C., and the founder of Safe Paws Legal Solutions. I’m also a lifelong animal lover and proud dog mom to Grayson, my Aussie/Lab mix and favorite hiking buddy.
I’ve dedicated my career to advancing justice, working across legal, policy, and advocacy spaces to support individuals and communities in need. That work continues to shape who I am—and so does this. I started Safe Paws Legal Solutions because I believe our companion animals deserve legal protection too. They're our family, and planning for their future shouldn't be complicated or overwhelming.
I’ve spent over 20 years working in nonprofits, and my journey has taken me through incredible experiences, including a residency with the Humane Society of the United States and a clerkship with the Animal Legal Defense Fund. Along the way, I’ve remained committed to making the law accessible, and compassionate.
I was born and raised in Puerto Rico but these days, I live in North Carolina with my spouse and Grayson, where we love exploring nature together on long hikes.
